Masonry, timber and lime repairs

Ellis and Co completed a programme of structural stabilisation, repairs and restoration roofing of The Granary. This historic scheduled monument lies in the southern precinct of the remains of St Peters Benedictine Abbey at Abbotsbury.

All Saints Church in Wrington is a Grade I listed Church with 13th century foundations.

Over eight months Ellis and Co completed a full programme of conservation and refurbishment of the masonry and timber internal architecture. Works were specified by Benjamin Beauchamp Architects.

Conservation repairs to the structure roof and masonry has saved this heritage building at risk.

The Grade I listed medieval early wing of Brook Hall was regarded by English Heritage as one of the highest priority Buildings at Risk. It is now no longer on the risk register following repair works by Ellis and Co (Restoration and Building).

Dunshay Manor, is a Grade II listed building dating to the C16th with C17th additions. It is known for its role in the arts and crafts movement and was redesigned in this style in the early C20th.

Ellis and Co has repaired and partly reslated the roofs of Longleat's Orangery.

Leaking lead wall head gutters had caused the timber roof structure to deteriorate. Ellis and Co undertook repairs and partly reslated the roofs to the Orangery, a popular attraction on the Longleat Estate.

The North Aisle of St Peter’s Church at Langley Burrell was originally covered in a stepped copper roof, over time the standing seams and step had started to allow water ingress. This was largely due to poor seam seals.

A new copper covering was agreed, without the need for a step midway along the roof’s length, therefore reducing the joints across the length of the roof.
