All Saints Church in Wrington is a Grade I listed Church with 13th century foundations.

Over eight months Ellis and Co completed a full programme of conservation and refurbishment of the masonry and timber internal architecture. Works were specified by Benjamin Beauchamp Architects.

Conservation and repair of 17th century roofs and chimneys.

Bramshill House, one of the largest Jacobean mansions in the country, was built in Italian Renaissance style in the early 17th century by Edward la Zouche.  The house was designated a Grade I listed building in 1952. It was used by the Home Office as a Police Staff College between 1960 and its recent sale.

Brickwork conservation and new build.

The brickwork of this elegant Grade I listed renaissance building has been extensively repaired and repointed. Original 17th Century brickwork, and historic repairs, have been blended seamlessly with new materials.

Conservation repairs to the structure roof and masonry has saved this heritage building at risk.

The Grade I listed medieval early wing of Brook Hall was regarded by English Heritage as one of the highest priority Buildings at Risk. It is now no longer on the risk register following repair works by Ellis and Co (Restoration and Building).

Extensive restoration of the Downside Abbey’s metal church roofs.

In preparation for the Abbey’s bicentenary we were commissioned to replace the pitched copper, lead and slate tile roofs of the Grade I listed Abbey Church, restoring them to their former glory. In addition, a fine stained glass windows was repaired and masonry cleaned.

Restore the stonework, install steel supports and lay a new roof.

A Gothic Revival Abbey built in hast by William Beckford between 1796 and 1813. The original Abbey was short lived and demolished in the late 1800s.

HLF funded Project Pilgrim set out to improve access at Gloucester Cathedral and create a welcoming experience for visitors. The project included both interior and exterior works including roofing and masonry repairs.

The medieval Hospital of St Cross was founded in the 1130’s and is considered England’s oldest and most perfect almshouse. Ellis and Co refurbished the kitchen wing to improve facilities for visitors.

The Old Bluecoat School is an interesting Grade I listed building of mixed materials with origins in the 14th Century. National Trust note it as “One of the most important buildings in the area and of National importance”.
