Current Vacancies
Ellis and Co have sucessfully secured a number of new contracts and are looking to expand our team. We employ around 70 members of staff in trades including roofing, masonry, leadwork, lime plastering and decorating. We are always interested in hearing from skilled trades men and women who would be keen to develop their skills in the heritage building sector with us.
Apprenticeships
We aim to appoint one or two apprentices annually in September. Apprentices join us for a trial period over the summer to experience a range of trades. Those who enjoy their placement, show potential and are successful are then be considered for an apprenticeship. Apprentices and work for Ellis and Co full time spending part time of the week on site or in our workshops with Ellis and Co and part time in college (typically Bath and Weston) training in their chosen trade to NVQ II level. Following successful completion of the apprenticeship our apprentices are likely to be offered full time employment as a regular member of our trade staff. We have now appointed our 2019 apprentices.
